Adam Sander is best known for his role as Adam Sandlin in the HBO comedy series Sons of Anarchy, which premiered in 2009.
The film, which was nominated for a Golden Globe, also starred Emma Stone, Samuel L Jackson and Kevin Hart.
Its release on Netflix is currently scheduled for 20 April.
In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Sandler says he was approached by Netflix about working on a movie, but that the project never materialised.
“It was a very, very good idea,” he said.
“We have a movie coming out in 2018 and I think they’d like to have me on it.”
Sander says he is not at all unhappy with the success of the film, saying that it has helped to cement his reputation as a talented comedian.
“I think the most important thing is that I get a little bit of exposure, because I’ve always been the guy that can do comedy on TV and on film and on television and in film, and that’s been my job ever since,” he told the magazine.
“And I can do it in this kind of fun, hilarious, funny, silly way.”
